Lyrics:
Cursed or blessed it’s hard to say
In the present tense,
Swallowed meds to survive the day,
That’s just self defence.
There’s no choice; no reason given
There’s no voice, just blind submission
Do not go gentle into that good night (so he said)
But rage against the dying light?
I’m sometimes failing
Just need to
Just need to hide for the day
Just let it ride
I’ll be ok
Been painting rainbows, but this pallet’s all grey
Just let it ride
I will be ok
Shooting stars then the slow decay
To a place so numb,
Some scars never fade away
Easy to succumb
Avoid pain; Avoid volition
That’s no choice, just indecision
Do not go gentle into that good night (so he said)
But rage against the dying light?
I’m sometimes failing
Just need to
Just need to hide for the day
Just let it ride
I’ll be ok
Been painting rainbows, but this pallet’s all grey
Just let it ride
I will be ok
Do not go gentle into that good night (so he said)
But rage against the dying light?
I’m sometimes failing
Just need to
Just need to hide for the day
Just let it ride
I’ll be ok
Been painting rainbows, but this pallet’s all grey
Just let it ride
I will be ok
Let it Ride tells a story about dealing with the pressure of mental illness in a society where there’s such stigma surrounding the subject that it’s easier for the sufferer to keep their condition hidden, despite the additional strain that creates. 1 in 4 people suffer from mental health issues, you do know at least one person who suffers in silence because of the stigma #timetochange
